Adivasi Vikas Kalyan Samiti is a non-profit, secular organization dedicated to the comprehensive social development of Adivasi tribes in Bihar. Established in 2009 by Mr. Bablu Marandi and a group of committed social workers, the organization received official registration on March 22, 2009, under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in Patna, Bihar.

Mr. Bablu Marandi‘s journey began after completing his formal education when he observed a significant gap in the delivery of government initiatives intended for the Adivasi population. Motivated by the desire to address this disparity and contribute to the betterment of his community, Mr. Marandi collaborated with existing NGOs to gain experience. However, he recognized that despite the commendable work being done, these initiatives were still not accessible to his community.

In response to the evident injustice, Mr. Marandi founded Adivasi Vikas Kalyan Samiti, starting with a humble 5-member group. The initial phase was challenging, marked by financial difficulties. As his efforts gained recognition, individuals rallied to support the cause in various forms.

Over the years, Adivasi Vikas Kalyan Samiti has achieved significant milestones, including providing free tuition to over 700 Adivasi children, adult literacy programs benefiting 500 adults, and income generation/skill development initiatives benefiting 150 youth. Additionally, our organization has facilitated free medical check-ups for 350 individuals, conducted various health awareness programs, and distributed free medicines.

Today, after 14 years of dedicated service, we take pride in collaborating with 240+ volunteers and 10+ sponsors, operating from four different offices across the district of Katihar, Bihar. Our journey stands as a testament to the impact that collective efforts can have on community development and the transformative power of persistent dedication to a noble cause.
